East Street Southampton

Centros is acting as development manager on behalf of Arcadian Estates – part of the London & Henley Property Group – to redevelop the now obsolete 1960s-built East Street Shopping Centre in Southampton.

Working closely with Southampton City Council, Centros’s scheme will restore the historic link between St Mary’s and the city centre as an open pedestrian thoroughfare and create a new 58,000 sq ft food store for Morrisons.

There will be two levels of parking on upper levels and both cars and service vehicles will have direct access from the inner ring road. With planning consent granted and the old shopping centre now demolished, it is anticipated that the development will be completed in 2015.
