Glasgow, St Enoch
- 830,000 sq ft of retail and leisure in 116 units and parking for 850 cars
- One of the most visited shopping centres in the UK with 12 million visitors per annum
Business Plan & Achievements
The Centre is a prime example of retail repurposing.
£40m redevelopment of the 95,000 sq ft former BHS store, which has been converted into a new 43,500 sq ft unit let to TJ Hughes and a major leisure complex anchored by a Vue cinema and 9 restaurants including Wagamama, Wingstop and Cosmo. Transforming St Enoch into a truly mixed use destination, providing, for the first time in Glasgow city centre, retail, dining and leisure all under one roof.
Planning permission obtained in July 2022 for the conversion of the former 300,000 sq ft Debenhams department store into offices.
Planning consent obtained and works underway to amalgamate 5 external units into a new anchor fashion store, for an international retailer, arranged over basement, ground and first floor.
Mall refurbishment project completed.
Substantial food court refurbishment completed, creating the city centre’s best dedicated multi-operator food offer.
A planning consent has been obtained for a comprehensive long term masterplan of the entire St Enoch estate which seeks to future proof the longevity of the asset as a truly mixed use “open street” destination. The masterplan comprises the phased demolition and redevelopment of the current centre to provide 2.5m sq ft of mixed use accommodation including retail, leisure, offices, hotel and 900 residential units.
