SOVEREIGN CENTROS SIGNS UP THREE NEW TENANTS FOR METROCENTRE

Less than a year since acquiring the iconic Metrocentre in Gateshead, Sovereign Centros has signed up a trio of tenants including the new beauty and lifestyle brand Harrods H Beauty.
The other two stores are JD Sports and fashion retailer H&M. All three are due to open around Spring 2022 and have signed new, long leases.
Together these brands will be taking a total of 83,000 square foot of retail space, making Metrocentre even more of a draw for customers from all over the North East.
Graeme Jones, Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros, says: “These lettings really reinforce how retail in these powerful major regional centres is changing, replacing the hitherto reliance on the old department store formats as anchors with new and exciting concepts and brands which will be much more interactive for the shopper.”
